is the largest bus bodybuilder in Brazil and it has a market
share of approximately 47%.
For the second consecutive year, Marcopolo has been in the Top
Ten of the magazine EXAME – The Best Companies to Work for.
The company ranked fourth in the selection made by the
publication. The selection was based on a survey of
organizational climate encompassing 600 employees and
involving a judicious analysis of Marcopolo’s practices of
personnel management. This is the fifth consecutive time that
Marcopolo figures in the list made by the publication Exame of
the 100 Best Companies.
Since the company is concerned about its community, social
projects are part of its everyday life. The company has been
taking actions in the areas of health, education, civil rights
and child labor in order to benefit children and youngsters.
Concern for the environment is also part of Marcopolo’s

Founded
on August 6 1949 in the city of Caxias do Sul, in Rio Grande
do Sul, Marcopolo S.A. is a company dedicated to the
manufacture of bodies for urban and micro buses, and coaches,

At present, Marcopolo produces over half of the bus bodies
made in Brazil. The company has four units in Brazil and
factories in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Portugal and South
Africa, and exports to over 60 countries, including the United
States, France, England, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Holland,
Mexico, Argentina and Saudi Arabia.
The company also develops an important socially-oriented work,
aimed not only at the well being of its collaborators and

treatment for needy children and adolescents, especially in
